Russy and I were engaged on 10/24/10 and were planning on a November, then a September, then an April of 2011 wedding. The more and more we planned and the more and more it was turning into a huge event that we really only wanted to be a small and intimate event we decided to just elope. Although at first it did not seem like the most ideal plan of action to take, the day turned out to be so much fun, stress free, and ultimately we were married. Hunter, Russ, and I were all just so happy! We got married at the SLC court house and there were just a few people there. Our dear friends Matt and Drew came up to our house beforehand and took some photos for us to commemorate the day. Drew is an amazing photographer and it was his gift to us to take the photos. Stuart flew in that morning as well from Portland to be a part of the day. Sheryl and Andy met us down at the court house as well as my friend Sher. The ceremony was short, sweet, and to the point. Within two minutes we were married! Neither Russ nor I could have thought of a better way to start of the New Year. After the ceremony we all went to Canella's down town for a lovely lunch with everyone so we could visit before we all went on our way for the rest of the day. Russy and I had reservations at Hotel Monaco down town and we had dinner reservations at Spencer's Steak House. We left lunch and went to check into our hotel. It was so beautiful and such a treat for us. When we got there my mom and sister had called ahead and had our room upgraded to a suite! What a great surprise! Russy and I toasted with Champaign and apple cider! We could not believe that we were finally married! We had been living like a family for a while already and it was nice to just make it official on paper as well. That evening we walked over to Spencer's and had an amazing meal of filet and crab with the most scrumptious potatoes and Brussels sprouts. We shared a lovely dessert and just were happy as could be. We could not have asked for a more perfect day!

So sweet!
