Now that Hunter is five, and he is a big brother to Everett, we love to enjoy watching them become into their own and amaze us everyday. I want to share with all of you the funny things they do, say, and what they discover. Though we don't live close, you can still be apart of what we all have been doing in this sweet life. Enjoy!

The move out of the canyon
As winter ended and spring began Russy and I wanted to move out of the canyon and down into SLC. We wanted to be closed to our works' and Hunter's school. We also wanted to be in a location where Hunter could run around outside and have a yard that we could have BBQ's in as well as camp outs. We found the perfect place and moved in the first week of April. We love our new house!
Tee Ball- Spring 2011
As spring was approaching we decided that we wanted to get Hunter involved in a sport like Tee Ball or Soccer. Russy wanted to be involved so we decided that Tee Ball would be the better choice since he has played baseball before. Since Russ had never coached though, he signed up to be an assistant coach. On the day of registration we met with our new team and found out that there was not a head coach and therefore Russ was left to coach the team. What a scary thought- teaching ten little kids how to play Tee Ball. Well Russ took on the assignment and made me the assistant coach. We actually had a lot of fun coaching but honestly don’t think we will do it again in spring of 2012. Hunter would probably have way more fun learning from someone other than his parents!
One of Hunter's favorite things to do...
I know that all kids have their own activity that they like to do when they have down time or relax. Hunter's is to lay on his bed, with snacks, and watch a movie... I decided to capture this on film because it is so cute to me.
February 2011
Valentine's day was always a special day growing up with my mom. She would always leave Whit and I a little treat on our placemats with our breakfast with a sweet note. I decided to keep the tradition alive and wanted to do something sweet for my family. Since Russy and Hunty both love pancakes I thought it would be sweet to make heart shaped pancakes. They were a hit…

Also in February Hunter and I made a visit out to California to spend time with my mom and sister. Whit had just moved into a new place with her friend Natty and I wanted to make them a housewarming gift. I had found an idea online for a pillow and put my own creative touch on it. It was my first attempt at appliqué but I think it turned out fantastic. Along with the pillow I wanted to make my mom a nice cozy blanket like I had made for my sister for Christmas. Both were truly loved and appreciated by my two favorite gals…
January 14th 2011
Russy and I were engaged on 10/24/10 and were planning on a November, then a September, then an April of 2011 wedding. The more and more we planned and the more and more it was turning into a huge event that we really only wanted to be a small and intimate event we decided to just elope. Although at first it did not seem like the most ideal plan of action to take, the day turned out to be so much fun, stress free, and ultimately we were married. Hunter, Russ, and I were all just so happy! We got married at the SLC court house and there were just a few people there. Our dear friends Matt and Drew came up to our house beforehand and took some photos for us to commemorate the day. Drew is an amazing photographer and it was his gift to us to take the photos. Stuart flew in that morning as well from Portland to be a part of the day. Sheryl and Andy met us down at the court house as well as my friend Sher. The ceremony was short, sweet, and to the point. Within two minutes we were married! Neither Russ nor I could have thought of a better way to start of the New Year. After the ceremony we all went to Canella's down town for a lovely lunch with everyone so we could visit before we all went on our way for the rest of the day. Russy and I had reservations at Hotel Monaco down town and we had dinner reservations at Spencer's Steak House. We left lunch and went to check into our hotel. It was so beautiful and such a treat for us. When we got there my mom and sister had called ahead and had our room upgraded to a suite! What a great surprise! Russy and I toasted with Champaign and apple cider! We could not believe that we were finally married! We had been living like a family for a while already and it was nice to just make it official on paper as well. That evening we walked over to Spencer's and had an amazing meal of filet and crab with the most scrumptious potatoes and Brussels sprouts. We shared a lovely dessert and just were happy as could be. We could not have asked for a more perfect day!
