Aquarium

Recently, Russy, Sheryl, Andy, Hunter, and I all went to the aquarium in Sandy for a fun day out. Hunter is really into Dora and Diego and watches their different adventures on a daily basis. During the adventures, Hunter gets to learn about different ecosystems and the various animals and plants that inhabit them. It was really neat for Hunter because he got to see many of the animals that he learned about through his favorite shows and books, in real life. He thought that the octopus was scary at first but was really excited to see it feed. He also was fascinated by the sting rays as they were swimming in an open tank. Russy picked him up to pet them but that was a little too much for him. Though, Hunter did go up to the water and touched it when nobody was looking (except for me  ). When we walked over to the shark exhibit Hunter was so excited but if they swam too close to the glass he freaked out a little bit. We tried to get him to take a picture but he would not turn his back to the sharks. He was intrigued with the giant boa constrictor in the South America section of the tour but really loved the alligators. Hunter thought it was great that they were swimming with big Turtles. We got to touch this current display that demonstrated the feeling of an electric eel. There were a lot of tree frogs there too and Hunter was so excited because they were just like the tree frogs on Diego. When we were getting ready to leave, Hunter ran straight for the gift shop, and so did Russy. They were playing with a bunch of the fun toys that they had there and Hunter decided on a shark and sting ray that he could bring in the tub; they squirt water. He also wanted a red eye tree frog that is on a motor cycle. Overall, it was a great day!!
