Christmas Eve 2010; opening up Christmas jammies and new slippers

Our Christmas Tree 2010

Sledding days

Winter of 2010 gave us a ton of big snow days and with big snow days we had a lot of really fun sledding days. Here are some photos and videos of the fun we had!

Videos (5):

This video was taken on a day after work and school. Russy picked up Hunty from school and surprised him by taking him sledding. This is by far one of the best days that they both had together. :)

Snowy days and what better to do than...

Some days it is just too cold and snowy to do anything. This particular wintery December day Russy, Hunty and I stayed inside and made homemade candy. This is a receipt of Grandma Clineff's. It is so delicious but thankfully I only make it once a year. We ate a whole pan of it on day one.

Santa Visit 2010

December 2010

Shortly following our trip to California the preparation for the Christmas holiday began. Every year I make something homemade for gifts. I really enjoy crafts and projects and the sense of accomplishment when I do complete something. For Christmas 2010 I was making blankets for The Volt kids and for the Clineff girls. I had found a really neat pattern called, “pinwheel”, that I had used for Deacon’s quilt and then I used a pattern called, “the braid”, for all of the girls’ quilts. Each one was a new, but fun, challenge for me. For an extra bonus I made one for my sister Whitty as well. I loved the colors and patterns for each and every one of them!
