Now that Hunter is five, and he is a big brother to Everett, we love to enjoy watching them become into their own and amaze us everyday. I want to share with all of you the funny things they do, say, and what they discover. Though we don't live close, you can still be apart of what we all have been doing in this sweet life. Enjoy!

House
After the last of the snow finally melted off and gave us warm sunny weather Russy and I were finally able to work on the outside of our house. During the winter we worked really hard to get the inside done with paint and other upgrades but we wanted the outside to match the inside. So we spend two whole days doing the best overhaul that we could on our budget and manual labor. We replanted the flower beds up front, created new flower beds in the back and built a nice entry way into our back yard. Overall we were so happy with our accomplishments! The next morning we got up to go out back and enjoy our coffee in our new sanctuary but it was COLD... hahaha go figure right. Over the Summer though we were able to have dinner outside several times a week and enjoy simming back there too. We spent many weekends back there since we lived so far away from our friends and family in Provo. Here are the finished pictures of our house:

School talk
Hunter has really been enjoying pre-school and this summer they were able to do a special project. The pre-school teacher at Hunters school was teaching the kids about the different parts of the plants and how they grow. They were able to each have a tomato plant and they planted lettuce as well. Hunter would come home and tell me about the progress of his plant, how it grows, and how he wanted to eat the tomatoes when they finally grew in. Well the day came where Hunter was able to eat the fruit of his labor and he wanted nothing to do with it! He just liked the idea way better than the actual consumption of lettuce and tomatoes; go figure. Hunter was also fortunate enough to help out the school director in planting the flowers out front of their school. The director’s name is Bob and Hunter loves Bob because he lets him help out with the man jobs around the school. So Bob gave Hunter a shovel and some pansies to plant out front. When I picked up Hunter he was so excited to tell me about his fun day at school with Bob and showed me the flowers that he had planted. He was so proud of himself that he could garden like a big boy. At school Hunter is also learning new songs such as the ABC's, the itsy bitsy spider, and money's in a tree. These are by far his three favorite and we were fortunate enough that his teacher Nicole caught him singing the ABC's on video. (I think the child on Hunter's right is still traumatized from the experience :))
And for those of you that have seen Hunter eat he is a very picky eater. He generally won't eat lunch at school because they serve things like tuna casserole; but he will not eat the good things either like mac and cheese and peanut butter sandwiches. Nicole served the kids' their snack one day, chocolate pudding, and she said that she has never seen Hunter eat so fast. Please observe:
Hunter's other favorite lesson that they learned at school this summer was the planets. He leaned about each plant, which ones are the largest to smallest, and has come to the conclusion that Pluto is his favorite. I am assuming because it is like Mickey Mouse's dog Pluto but either way it is his favorite.

plants and water fights
What would summer be without a water fight. It usually starts with Hunter watering the plants and then watering down Russy. Then it turns into a full water fight. If the water bottles were not enough, we have a rouge sprinkler in the front yard that likes to just go in circles instead of staying on the designated path. Hunter thinks that it is a game though and tries to out run the sprinkler as it comes spinning around. Apparently this required goggles:

Cute Pics
I know every mother thinks that their child or children are the cutest kids out there BUT I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Hunter is pretty darn cute in these pictures. He was just so happy to be eating ice cream and hanging out with his mama and Russy.

I love these pictures of Russy and I!

May Birthday and Mothers Day
Wow how the time fly’s when you are having fun. From Easter until now we have really been caught in the whirl wind of life to say the least and have been enjoying every minute of it. After Easter it was a short break before the festivities of May were to begin. I, Lindsey, celebrated my last 20's birthday with Russy and Hunty. Though it was a bittersweet birthday the boys made it amazing as usual. As I like to say I am not getting older but rather getting better. I think my thirties are going to be amazing and I can't wait for all of the great adventures that are to come. For my birthday Russy and Hunter had a table full of gifts that consisted of new perfume, new converse chucks, (my other ones were thoroughly worn in), some new shirts, a new hoodie, earrings, and a handmade drawing from Hunter. Tee-Tee's gift was also there that day (YAY) and she made me the sweetest card that accompanied the best gift; a round trip flight to see her in San Fran. After being thoroughly indulged with gifts we then went to our family favorite restaurant which is Tepenyaki. The food and company was absolutely delightful. Hunter had his usual fried rice and Russy and I had shrimp and steak. After smelling like the food and stuffed out the window we then went home and enjoyed homemade cake:

I had a great 29th birthday to say the least. BUT WAIT! It was not over yet. On Saturday Russy and I went out with our friends to continue the festivities. We went to Piper Down, had a great time, and enjoyed the company of our dear friends.

MOTHERS DAY!
So how much better could May have gotten for me... well right after my birthday was Mother's Day! We went down to Sheryl's house to spend the day with Grandma Dawn, Grandpa Vern, and of course Sheryl. We had such a nice day celebrating the event and enjoying the company of one another. We had a wonderful array of food as well. There was Chinese chicken salad, funeral potatoes, baked ham, rolls, fruit salad, and to top it off more cake. The Brimley's were so sweet and bought me another birthday cake. The whole day was so great and Hunter was being so sweet. He called his Pippy too to tell her happy mother’s day so she knew he was thinking of her. He also had to tell her about his short sorts (hahaha):
