Easter 2010

Happy Easter! What a fun day we had though it started before the sun came out! Hunter woke up so excited this morning to see what the Easter Bunny brought him so we all got up and ran up stairs. It was so great to see his face! He got a Batman Kite, some sidewalk chalk, a couple of movies, and a swing from the EB. He also got a couple of games like Shoots and Ladder's and Let's Go Fishing. He loves games and it something fun for all to do. Hunter also received a sweet golf set and a new bathing suit from his Pippy and Poppop. They sent his suit and top in a really neat gift box in the shape of a box... he loved it. He played all morning with his new things and Russ went outside to do yard work. It looks amazing and I am so glad that he loves to do that stuff. It finally stopped snowing so he was able to pick up all of the sticks and mow the grass. It was just in time too since we were having Sheryl and her friend Dave at our house today; not to mention the Easter egg hunt for Hunter. Sheryl and Dave brought Hunter a fantastic Easter basket with cars, candy, and some fun eggs. We were so glad that they could come up and eat with us and just have a fun day with us. We had a great dinner today:
Honey Baked Ham
Green Bean Casserole
Funeral (cheesy) Potatoes
Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Dessert: Homemade shortcakes with homemade whipped cream... delicious :) Russy actually taught me how to make the whipped cream and it was great!

After we ate we had Hunter's egg hunt and he was so funny. He would find an egg, open it up, dump all the candy in his basket, and then toss the eggs aside... classic Hunter. He got to keep five pieces of candy and was so happy. After the egg hunt Hunter came in and watched Charlotte's Web and Sheryl, Dave, Russy, and I all played German Rummy. We only got through two hands but we had such a fun time playing. We can't wait to play again because Dave had phenomenal beginners luck and won both rounds.

Today is also opening day for Baseball so Russy is so excited. He is sitting on the couch right now watching the Red Sox/Yankee's game and I think is having the most perfect day. We missed you all today but enjoy the pictures. Love you

Jazz

Russy could not believe that I had never been to a professional basketball game when the topic came up. So he tried for about two weeks to get perfect tickets when finally he did. I really did not know what to expect but it was so awesome. Russy even went out and bought me some new Jazz gear, (the throw back color of Green), so I would fit in. Well we got to the game there was so many people it was crazy. There was even people there dressed up as gorilla's that had uniforms on. They were die hard fans for sure. When we walked into the auditorium it was nothing like I had imagined; it was awesome! We had great seats and had a perfect view of the court and the players. The Jazz were wearing their throw back uniforms that night too so it was even better because we were all matching; (not that we planned it but it was a great surprise). They Jazz ended up winning the game by almost twenty points and had 14 three point shots during the game. It was so fun and again nothing like I thought it was going to be. I only had high school basket ball games to compare it to so really it was so phenominal. The Jazz played the Houston Rockets that night and for some reason any time that Russ and I go to a sporting event we always end up sitting next to the loudest and most obnoxious fan(s) for the other team. Right after half time this group of 4 came and sat down next to us. No joke the girls sitting next to me had one of those huge foam fingers, red, ballet flats, red, a skin tight shirt, red and a flower in her hair, all red. So funny because they were loosing so bad and any time anything amazing the Rockets did she would stand up like a giant lobster and scream like a banchie. AND all she kept asking about to her BF was if he loved the fact that she was matching the Rockets. Then I was thinking that she over did it and then wondered if I yelled louder than her if they would leave? Well apparently it worked. HA! It was such a fun night and I can't wait to go watch another Jazz game with Russy.
